They added quarterback Justin Fields this offseason to replace Aaron Rodgers.
That’s why new head coach Aaron Glenn doesn’t want to talk about their former quarterback, even though they will face him in the season opener against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Aaron Glenn doesn’t want to revisit the Aaron Rodgers decision. Asked about what he saw on film last season, Glenn said: „That’s been gone, so I’m not going to answer questions about guys that aren’t here and what I saw…It’s not relevant to right now.“

There were reports that a meeting with Rodgers did not go well after Glenn was hired, so it may be in the coach’s best interests to avoid that line of questioning before this possible revenge game.
The Jets are committed to his replacement, and while the media and the fans always love a good storyline, Glenn is trying to treat Week 1 like any other game.
Granted, Rodgers and Fields likely would love to get back at their respective former teams and let them know what they could have had, but this is a team sport.
The Jets are looking to leave the past behind with a new regime in place.
As such, there’s little need to discuss how things were before it was even part of the organization.
