The Pittsburgh Steelers, as many NFL fans know, are on a streak of consecutive seasons over .500 during the Mike Tomlin era.
Coach Tomlin continues to do enough to help this team be better than average, but they haven’t been able to make a deep playoff run in years.
One of their limiting factors in recent seasons has been the quarterback position, as they haven’t found a long-term replacement for Ben Roethlisberger.
Aaron Rodgers gives them hope at the position for the first time in years, a 21-year veteran who is ready to bring this team to the next level.
If he can perform even remotely close to any of his MVP seasons, the Steelers are in for a great treat and could be a sleeper team heading into the playoffs.
Rodgers has been complimentary of Tomlin and this team since he came to town, and mentioned another strong aspect of this team in comments shared via reporter Amanda Godsey on X.

Rodgers is proud of this tight end room and what he has seen from them thus far, which could bode well for this offense in 2025.
Having capable tight ends who are not only competent receivers but also blockers can make a big difference.
Pat Freiermuth and Jonnu Smith will likely take on the bulk of the receiving work if the past is any indication, and Connor Heyward and Darnell Washington should be their biggest blockers.
This team is surrounded by lots of excitement heading into 2025, and fans will get their first chance to see what Rodgers is capable of in Week 1 against the New York Jets.
