A Canadian is one step away from Toronto.
The Blue Jays promoted outfielder Dasan Brown to triple-A Buffalo on Tuesday, the organization announced.
Brown, the 23-year-old from Oakville, Ont., appeared in 86 games for the double-A New Hampshire Fisher Cats this season, slashing .175/.286/.249 with three home runs and 14 RBIs.
However, the speedster is coming off his best month of the season, posting a .352 on-base percentage and .400 slugging percentage over his past 28 games.
Brown also has 31 steals in 33 attempts while playing all three outfield positions, but primarily in centre.
He was originally selected by the Blue Jays in the third round of the 2019 draft.
In 2023, Brown appeared in two games for Canada at the World Baseball Classic.
