MANILA, Philippines — Fan favorites Ran Takahashi of Japan, Ricardo Lucarelli of Brazil, and Rok Mozic of Slovenia are looking forward to meeting the Filipino fans when they compete in the FIVB Volleyball Men’s World Championship from September 12 to 28 at Smart Araneta Coliseum and Mall of Asia Arena.

Mozic, who won plenty of fans when Slovenia played in Manila in the VNL, is also eager to reconnect with Filipino supporters.
Slovenia, a fourth-place placer in the previous World Championship three years ago, is slated in Pool E with Germany, Bulgaria, and Chile, playing at MOA Arena.
Lucarelli and world No. 3 Brazil, meanwhile, are grouped with Serbia, Czechia, and China in Pool H, also at MOA Arena. “Feel the passion, feel the action and the pride in the historic moment in volleyball,” he said.
Another fan favorite will spice up the first-ever Volleyball World Championship in Manila, with fast-rising K-pop group BOYNEXTDOOR serenading the fans on opening day, September 12, after Alas Pilipinas makes its debut against Tunisia.
