The Premier League’s two favourites for the title this season are set to face off in a blockbuster clash this Sunday. Reigning champions Liverpool host three-time consecutive runners-up Arsenal, with both sides having won their opening two fixtures of the campaign.
Arne Slot’s Reds have managed two shaky victories against Bournemouth and Newcastle, with the latter being decided by a 100th minute winner from teenage substitute Rio Ngumoha. Mikel Arteta’s side, meanwhile, began the season with a 1-0 win away at Manchester United, before the 5-0 demolition of Leeds last weekend.
Crucially, the Gunners have not conceded a single goal yet, which puts them atop the Premier League table. But despite drawing in their last three visits to Anfield, it was all the way back in September 2012 that Arsenal managed to beat Liverpool away in the Premier League. When is Liverpool vs Arsenal?
The highly-anticipated matchday three showdown at Anfield will take place on Sunday, with kick-off scheduled for 4.30pm. It marks a huge opportunity for one of the top flight’s giants to land an early blow to the other’s Premier League title pursuit this season.
How can I watch Liverpool vs Arsenal?
The fixture will be shown live in the UK on Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League. Coverage of the Super Sunday clash is set to begin at 4pm.
The match will also be available to stream via the Sky Go app, which customers will need a valid subscription for to tune in. Fans not based in the UK can catch the game through their local Premier League TV rights holders.
What’s new about the Sky TV deal?
Sky Sports is committed to broadcasting even more Premier League games live this season. A total of 215 top-flight matches will be aired on Sky channels over the course of the campaign, which is an increase of more than 100 games compared to last term.
And Sundays are set to get especially busy considering Sky Sports can now broadcast multiple 2pm kick-offs at once. That means viewers can watch all four Premier League matches taking place this Sunday, with Brighton hosting Manchester City and Nottingham Forest facing West Ham at 2pm, before Liverpool take on Arsenal. The late 7pm kick-off will see Aston Villa host Crystal Palace.

Slot made the bold call to start Dominik Szoboszlai at right-back against Newcastle on Monday, when the Hungarian midfielder impressed despite playing out of position. With first-choice Jeremie Frimpong sidelined until after the international break, Szoboszlai may well keep his spot, despite Joe Gomez and Conor Bradley returning to fitness.
Alexis Mac Allister too suffered a knock earlier this week but Slot said he hoped the Argentine would be fully fit to face the Gunners.
Arsenal have also encountered several injury problems already this season. Bukayo Saka was taken off with a hamstring problem during the second half against Leeds last weekend and is set to be out for the next three to four weeks. Kai Havertz is also sidelined for an extended period of time with what appears to be a knee injury, while Gabriel Jesus is still not back from his ACL injury.
Ben White and Christian Norgaard could make their returns after their absence against Leeds. Captain Martin Odegaard could also play after suffering a shoulder injury against Leeds which forced him to come off. New signing Eberechi Eze is expected to make his debut.
