Lions Announce 6 Captains For 2025 Season

The Detroit Lions were a bottom-feeder of an NFL team for many years.

They were viewed as a cakewalk on any team’s schedule, and despite Matthew Stafford’s brilliance and a mountain of passing yards, they couldn’t seem to put a complete season together.

Dan Campbell’s leadership has changed that and helped turn that around over the past few seasons, completely altering the outlook of this organization.

They’ve turned into one of the teams to watch out for, and are anything but an easy win on a team’s schedule.

The 2024 season might not have turned out as well as they would have liked in the playoffs, but the Lions are seemingly healthy and ready to go for 2025.

The Lions recently named their captains for the upcoming season, as the team noted on X, which kicks off with an NFC North battle with the Green Bay Packers.

These captains are Jared Goff, Aidan Hutchinson, Penei Sewell, Alex Anzalone, Amon-Ra St. Brown, and Grant Stuard.

Each of these athletes brings something different to the table on the field, but they’ve all been identified as leaders in their own right.

This group of captains will work hard to make their teammates better every day, ensuring that the season ends differently than it did last year.

Falling in the divisional round of the playoffs after being tied for the best record in football in the regular season was a suboptimal result, but if they stay healthy, especially on defense, there’s no telling what this team will be capable of down the stretch.
