The NFL was turned upside down last season when the Philadelphia Eagles signed Saquon Barkley.
Barkley has been one of the best running backs in the league, and while there were some contractual issues with the New York Giants, many figured they would get a deal done to retain him.
The Giants’ loss was the Eagles’ gain, as Barkley was one of the major reasons they won Super Bowl LIX.
He rushed for 2,005 yards, the most of his career, including 13 touchdowns.
Barkley also provided some value in the passing game, catching 33 balls for 278 yards and two touchdowns.
His impact on the team cannot be understated, and he’s ready to do it again.
Barkley has been well-regarded by his peers, fans and the media throughout his career, and he was just given a high honor from the NFL, being named the No. 1 player on its Top 100 list.

This ranking indicates that Barkley is better than the league’s top quarterbacks, including Lamar Jackson, Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes, who were all in the top five.
Barkley brings so much to the table for the Eagles, which includes taking a lot off of Jalen Hurts’ plate as a passer.
The All-Pro is gearing up for another elite season, and considering the Eagles brought back most of their top players, there’s no reason he can’t repeat his success.
An injury seems like the only thing that could bring down Barkley at this point, considering opposing defenses weren’t able to stop him last year.
